The government approved 25 new sugar mills to support agriculture and create jobs. Nine mills that closed earlier will be replaced with new units. The cabinet also cleared a plan to develop 11 new townships, including Sitamarhi and Sonpur, along with nine divisional headquarters.

To make Bihar a tech hub in Eastern India, the cabinet approved a Defense Corridor, Semiconductor Park, Global Capability Centers, Mega Tech City, and Fintech City. A special committee led by the Chief Secretary will prepare a report in six months.

The meeting also focused on building a modern economy. Policies will support technology, services, and innovation. Experts and entrepreneurs will guide these plans to make Bihar a strong global workplace.

Another decision approved the Bihar Artificial Intelligence Mission. This mission will help talented individuals and companies work with the government to promote AI-based growth.
