High levels of PM10 and PM2.5 have made the air unhealthy for residents. Other areas like Danapur, Taramandal, and Patna City also showed rising pollution levels.
Construction work and increasing traffic near Gandhi Maidan are adding more dust to the air. With events like the Patna Book Fair expected to draw heavy crowds, pollution levels may rise further if no action is taken.
On Friday morning, most cities in Bihar recorded AQI below 200, but many still fall in the “poor” range. Gayaji (189), Araria (172), Sasaram (178), Patna (172), and Begusarai (142) all showed worrying numbers.
