The Bihar Assembly session begins with a busy five-day schedule from December 1 to 5. This is the first meeting after the state elections, and the new government wants to start its work smoothly. On the opening day, Bihar Assembly session begins with the oath ceremony for all 243 newly elected MLAs.
On December 1, the Pro-tem Speaker will conduct the oath process. The next day, the Assembly will elect its new Speaker. The Legislative Council will meet for three days, from December 3 to 5.
On December 3, the Governor will address both houses. The same day, the House will receive ordinance copies and the second supplementary budget. On December 4, members will debate the Governor’s address. The final day, December 5, will include discussions and voting on the second supplementary budget and the introduction of appropriation bills.
The government is ready to answer all opposition questions. Meetings of BJP-JDU and NDA legislative parties will also take place during this period.
