Bihar Congress Infighting has intensified after the party released a list of 53 district presidents in the state. Bihar Congress Infighting became visible when state Congress president Rajesh Ram raised objections and said the list does not reflect proper representation of all communities.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Rajesh Ram said the newly announced list may be revised. He also sent his concerns to the party’s national leadership and organisational general secretary K. C. Venugopal.
The party recently increased the number of organisational districts from 40 to 53 and announced new district presidents for each unit. However, several leaders pointed out that the representation of the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) in the list remains very low.
Rajesh Ram said every social group should get fair participation in the party structure. The issue has triggered strong internal discussions within the Indian National Congress in Bihar.
