Bihar Congress rebels expelled after the party acted against leaders involved in anti-party activities. The Bihar Pradesh Congress Disciplinary Committee removed seven leaders from primary membership for six years. This decision came after rising protests and serious allegations. These Bihar Congress rebels expelled leaders include Aditya Paswan, Shakilur Rahman, Raj Kumar Sharma, Raj Kumar Rajan, Kundan Gupta, Kanchana Kumari, and Ravi Golden.
The trouble started when 43 leaders received show-cause notices. Many of them gathered at the party office and accused state president Rajesh Ram and in-charge Krishna Allavaru of unfair ticket distribution during the assembly elections. Their protest turned louder when MP Pappu Yadav arrived, and they shouted slogans demanding accountability.
The Congress hoped to perform better in the last Bihar Assembly elections. The party had won 19 seats earlier but fell to only six. This huge loss created frustration among workers. Many claimed that senior leaders favoured outsiders and allowed BJP supporters to influence ticket selection.
As tensions grew, these leaders held a dharna at Sadakat Ashram. Instead of calming them, the situation worsened, and the disciplinary committee finally removed seven members. The party now aims to restore unity before future elections.
