The campaign noise for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will end at 6 pm on Sunday. A total of 1,302 candidates are contesting this phase, including 1,165 men, 136 women, and one third-gender candidate. Leaders have made their final push to reach voters in the last 24 hours of campaigning.
Voting will be held on November 11 across 122 assembly constituencies in 20 districts. Of these, 101 are general, 19 are Scheduled Caste, and two are Scheduled Tribe reserved seats.
An average of 815 voters will cast their votes at each of the 45,399 polling booths, including 5,326 in urban and 40,073 in rural areas. This phase also features 595 women-run, 91 disabled-run, and 316 model polling stations, with webcasting at every booth for transparency.
The phase will see 3.70 crore voters, comprising 1.95 crore men, 1.74 crore women, and 943 third-gender voters. The smallest constituency is Makhdumpur with 2.47 lakh voters, while the largest is Hisua with 3.67 lakh voters.
Chainpur, Sasaram, and Gaya City lead with 22 candidates each, while Lauriya, Chanpatia, Raxaul, Sugauli, Triveniganj, and Banmankhi have the fewest contenders.
