Bihar Exam Mafia Crackdown Intensifies Ahead of Recruitment Tests

Bihar Exam Mafia Crackdown police arrest exam racket member

Bihar Exam Mafia Crackdown gained speed ahead of major recruitment exams in the state. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) arrested Sanjay Kumar Prabhat, a notorious exam mafia member, from Gola Road in Patna. The Bihar Exam Mafia Crackdown comes at a crucial time as the state prepares for the Driver Constable exam on December 10 and the Enforcement Sub-Inspector exam on December 14.

Sanjay belongs to the Sanjeev Mukhiya gang and has a long record of leaking exam papers. Police said he was wanted for the BPSC TRE-3 paper leak case held on March 15, 2024. Investigators linked him to earlier leaks, including the Telangana EAMCET 2016 and the All India Pre-Medical Test 2016. These cases are under investigation in Hyderabad and Uttarakhand.

During questioning, officers found that Sanjay earned huge amounts by selling leaked papers. He charged nearly one lakh rupees from each candidate for the BPSC TRE 3.0 question paper. He also gave false promises of “exam setting” for future tests.

The EOU is now tracking the money trail and hunting other members of the racket. So far, 289 people have been arrested in the case. Raids continue as police aim to secure upcoming exams.
