Bihar Health Centre Suspension Sparks Action

Bihar Health Centre Suspension case showing hospital building and ambulance issue

The Bihar Health Centre Suspension case created serious concern in Nawada district. The health department suspended Kanan Priya, the block health manager of the Akbarpur Community Health Center. This step came after the hospital failed to send an ambulance or hearse for an elderly patient. The Bihar Health Centre Suspension incident shows how poor service affected a grieving family.

Keshari Devi, aged 75, reached the community health center for treatment late on December 7th. She was treated between 10 pm and 11 pm, but she died during the night.

After her death, the hospital still did not provide any vehicle to take her body home. The situation damaged the government’s image and raised public anger.

The health department asked the medical officer in charge, Dr. Kumar Gaurav, and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, to give their explanation within two days. Officials said CCTV footage showed Dr. Kumar Gaurav was absent without permission.

The department stated that the family was given a stretcher but was not allowed to leave the hospital easily. The incident has now triggered strict action against the staff responsible.
