In West Champaran, Bihar, a tragic road accident turned into chaos at a government hospital. A woman named Kunti Devi (52) from DK Shikarpur village was hit by a motorcycle near Pakdi Dhala in Narkatiaganj. Villagers rushed her to the hospital, where Dr. Santosh Kumar declared her dead.
As the hospital arranged to send her body home, the family insisted she was alive. The doctor re-examined her and again confirmed death. This triggered anger among relatives and villagers, who assaulted the doctor. In retaliation, hospital staff brutally attacked a young villager, Mo. Shamshad Alam, fracturing his head.
The violent clash left both sides injured. Police intervened to calm the situation, while Shamshad received private treatment. The shocking incident highlights rising tensions and mistrust between patients’ families and medical staff in Bihar hospitals.
