Deputy CM Vijay Sinha has launched a Bihar Illegal Mining Crackdown and asked Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary for more police support. He said the police force will be increased to stop illegal mining. He added that a formal request will go to the Home Department. The police department comes under Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

In a press meet, he said that against the target of ₹1,555 crore in November 2025, the department has already received ₹1,530 crore. He said the Bihar Illegal Mining Crackdown will continue with strict steps.

Sinha also said people from media and social media will get the Bihari Yoddha Award for helping the government. Thirteen officials were punished for not stopping illegal mining, and action has started against 21 others.

He said illegal sand sale was happening near Digha and Pataliputra railway areas. Twenty-eight tractors were seized, and an FIR was filed. A fine of ₹32 lakh was imposed.

Police officers from the area where sand was sold will also face action. CCTV cameras are installed to monitor vehicles. If any officer shows negligence or collusion, strict action will follow. He added that the department works only for public interest.
