A Bihar JDU leader knife attack shocked Kulhadiya village on Monday afternoon. JDU women’s wing president Sonam Patel, also known as Leelavathi, was going to the local bank with her daughter. The Bihar JDU leader knife attack happened when two men followed them and stopped them near the bank.
One accused pushed her daughter aside. The other attacker held Sonam Patel and stabbed her near the waist. She fell to the ground and cried for help. Villagers rushed her to Ara Sadar Hospital. Doctors gave her first aid and later sent her to Patna for better treatment.
Sonam Patel is 35 years old and an active JDU leader in Koilwar block. She is also part of the Block Twenty Point Implementation Committee. The attack created panic in the village.
According to her daughter, the same men had threatened their family two days earlier. She also said the attackers were involved in a molestation case last year. Police confirmed that one accused, Bittu, was jailed earlier in a related dispute and was released on bail a few months ago.
Police teams are searching the area. Raids are underway to arrest both accused and stop further violence.
