The Election Commission has started testing its new online app, ECINet, for polling officials in the Bihar Assembly elections. This key phrase highlights the digital shift in Bihar elections. The app combines 40 mobile and web tools, helping officers record and share voter turnout data smoothly. Earlier, each task needed a separate app, but now ECINet merges them all — from Voter Helpline to c-Vigil — making election work easier and faster.
With ECINet, citizens can check Bihar Assembly elections voter turnout every two hours on Election Day. This transparency helps avoid delays and builds trust. Only authorized officers will upload the data to ensure accuracy. The Commission launched this platform after public criticism for slow updates in previous polls. Over 55 million downloads from older apps show how vital this upgrade is for Bihar’s digital democracy.
