The Bihar NDA seat sharing dispute has delayed the announcement of candidates. Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha expressed displeasure over seat allotments, causing a press conference to be postponed. Despite earlier claims of mutual agreement, tensions rose within the alliance. Manjhi later said he was “satisfied,” but hinted that NDA would suffer for cutting his seats.
BJP state chief Dilip Jaiswal announced that the list would come tomorrow, with nominations between October 15–18. However, internal rifts remain. Sources revealed disagreements between BJP, JDU, and Chirag Paswan’s LJP-R over seat distribution. JDU resists giving up seats to allies.
Opposition leaders like RJD’s Manoj Jha and Pappu Yadav mocked Nitish Kumar, saying BJP has taken 142 seats while JDU got only 101. They predicted Nitish’s leadership may weaken.
In the final Bihar NDA seat sharing plan, BJP and JDU got 101 seats each, LJP-R 29, RLMO and HAM 6 each. Manjhi wanted 15, and Kushwaha at least 10, creating fresh unrest.
