The Bihar NDA seat-sharing crisis has created deep rifts within the alliance. For the first time, Nitish Kumar’s JDU has stepped away from its elder brother role and is standing on equal footing with the BJP. Trouble began when five seats — Sonbarsa, Morwa, Ekma, Gaighat, and Rajgir — became points of conflict between Nitish Kumar’s JDU and Chirag Paswan’s LJP. Both parties have announced candidates for these seats, sparking internal tension.

Adding to the unrest, RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha is angry over losing the Mahua and Dinara seats to Chirag’s LJP. He wanted his son to contest from Mahua but was denied. Reports say Kushwaha might accept an MLC seat in return. Nitish’s move to field candidates in LJP-allotted areas has further increased Chirag’s frustration. Even Jitan Ram Manjhi is upset with the reduced seat share.

This Bihar NDA seat-sharing crisis reflects power struggles and ego clashes among allies. With the nomination deadline approaching, the situation remains tense. All eyes are now on Amit Shah, who is expected to play peacemaker and prevent a split in the NDA ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
