Winning the Bihar Assembly elections 10 times could soon make history. So far, no one has achieved this in Bihar. Three leaders — Harinarayan Singh, Sadanand Singh, and Ramai Ram — have each won nine times. Among them, only Harinarayan Singh remains active in politics.
A senior JDU leader, Harinarayan Singh, first became an MLA in 1977 from Harnaut and has since won nine elections. If he wins again, he will become the first MLA to achieve this historic tenth Bihar election victory.
Other leaders like Prem Kumar and Bijendra Prasad Yadav are close behind with eight victories each. Former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi also holds eight wins. The coming polls may decide who sets a new political record.
