Bihar Politics Shake-Up: BJP Expels MLA Pawan Yadav

BJP expels MLA Pawan Yadav from Bihar party

In Bihar, the BJP expels MLA Pawan Yadav after he decided to contest the 2025 assembly election from Bhagalpur’s Kahalgaon seat as an independent. Yadav, upset over being denied a ticket, filed his nomination against the NDA’s JDU candidate, Shubhanand Mukesh. This move was seen as an act of rebellion against the party.

The BJP leadership took serious note of this step. A letter from Bihar BJP headquarters stated that Yadav’s actions violated party discipline and harmed the coalition’s unity. Arvind Sharma, the state headquarters in-charge, confirmed that Yadav had engaged in anti-party activities by standing against the NDA’s official nominee.

The letter also mentioned that his conduct damaged the party’s image. Following recommendations from the disciplinary committee, BJP expels MLA Pawan Yadav from the party for six years. District President Santosh Kumar Sah emphasized that the organization stands above individuals, and such acts cannot be tolerated. This decision sends a clear message to party members about the importance of loyalty and unity within the NDA.
