Bihar Poll Victory Reaffirms

State BJP president Rajeev Bindal said today that the BJP’s massive win in Bihar strengthens Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the party’s development model. He addressed mediapersons in Dharamsala and called the Bihar result a “historic mandate” that shows the public’s growing trust in the BJP.

Bindal said the impact of this win reaches beyond Bihar. He noted that Himachal is now the only Congress-ruled state in north India, and the political atmosphere in the state is “changing fast”. According to him, the Congress government has failed to deliver on its key promises. He accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of confusing the public with “big announcements and no action”.

He also criticised the government’s three-year rule and described it as “Vyavastha Patan”. Bindal said the government ignored issues such as employment, inflation, disaster relief, and basic services. He added that people now want a stable and accountable administration.

Bindal targeted the government for increasing taxes and cess on essential items. He said the rise in HRTC fares has burdened daily commuters. He also accused the government of shutting down institutions and reducing job opportunities. According to him, the Congress government removed nearly “1.5 lakh posts” across departments. He said the appointment of “mitras” for Rs 5,000 a month offers no real support to unemployed youth.

He said the BJP has raised these concerns many times in the Assembly and among the public. The party now plans to increase its outreach in the state. Bindal announced that the Kangra BJP unit will organise a major rally at Tapovan on December 4. Many national and state leaders will join the event. He said the rally will mark the beginning of “a strong political shift” in Himachal Pradesh.
