Bihar Teacher Transfer Policy is set to roll out in the new year, bringing clarity to a long-standing issue. The Education Department has almost completed the revised rules, and Bihar Teacher Transfer Policy focuses strongly on teacher convenience and fairness.
First, the department will send the amended rulebook to the state cabinet within a month. After approval, implementation will begin without further delay.
For several years, teachers struggled due to unclear transfer rules. As a result, authorities issued multiple orders. This year alone, officials transferred more than 1.25 lakh teachers. Consequently, many disputes reached the courts, and school education suffered.
Now, the new policy aims to fix these problems. Nearly six lakh teachers from about 79,000 schools will benefit. These schools include primary, middle, basic, secondary, and higher secondary institutions.
Moreover, the department will allow transfers only through an online system. Teachers can apply after the official notification. Physical applications will not be accepted.
However, teachers must complete five years of service before seeking a transfer, except in special cases.
Earlier, objections from teachers’ unions delayed approval. This time, officials addressed those concerns. Therefore, the department expects smoother implementation and better stability in schools.
