Bihar Unexplored Land Survey: Vijay Sinha Seeks List of Unsurveyed Land from DMs

Bihar Unexplored Land Survey meeting led by Vijay Kumar Sinha

The Bihar Unexplored Land Survey has gained momentum after Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha asked district administrations to identify and report unsurveyed land across the state. He directed all District Magistrates (DMs) to prepare a detailed list of such land and send it to the revenue department.

The Bihar Unexplored Land Survey aims to locate land that has not been properly recorded or surveyed in official records. Officials will also review “bakast” land and other plots that lack clear documentation. The government plans to understand the status and nature of these lands through the survey.

A high-level departmental meeting is scheduled to review the progress of the survey and discuss the data collected from districts. The state government believes the initiative will improve transparency in land records and reduce disputes related to property ownership.

Authorities say the survey will help bring clarity to Bihar’s land records and strengthen the state’s revenue administration system.
