Bihar Weather Today indicates rising heat across several districts as temperatures continue to climb. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in many parts of the state may cross 40°C and could reach up to 43°C.
Several districts have already started experiencing heatwave conditions. Motihari and Nalanda recorded temperatures much higher than normal for the second consecutive day, prompting the weather department to issue a heatwave alert.
On Monday, Dehri in Rohtas recorded the highest temperature at 43.2°C, while Gaya, Rajgir, and Buxar also reported temperatures above 42°C. Patna touched 40°C for the first time this season, making the day extremely hot for residents.
Bihar Weather Today remains hot due to dry westerly winds affecting most districts. However, meteorologists expect a western disturbance to become active soon. This may bring thunderstorms and light rain from April 23, which could lower temperatures by 3–4°C and provide some relief.
Authorities have advised people to avoid direct sunlight, drink plenty of water, and stay hydrated during the ongoing heatwave.
