The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a letter to MPs. The BJP letter to MPs asks them to reach Delhi by September 6. The instruction comes ahead of the Vice-Presidential election on September 9.
BJP president JP Nadda will host a dinner for MPs on September 6 at 7 pm. The next day, on September 7, a workshop will begin at 9 am and run till evening.
The BJP letter to MPs also mentions the second day of the workshop. It will continue on September 8 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium inside the Parliament complex.
Later that evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a dinner for all NDA MPs at his residence. These events are aimed at unity and election readiness.
On September 9, members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will vote. Their decision will elect India’s new Vice-President.
