BJP-Congress Workers Clash in Patna Over Remarks on PM Modi

BJP and Congress workers clashing on Patna streets with sticks and flags during protest over remarks on PM Modi.

Patna witnessed high political drama today when BJP and Congress workers came face-to-face outside the Congress state office. The confrontation began after BJP members staged a protest against alleged abusive remarks directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during Rahul Gandhi’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra” in Darbhanga.

The demonstration quickly turned violent. Party workers from both sides attacked each other with sticks, flagpoles, and stones, creating chaos on the streets. Videos from the spot showed supporters tearing flags and shouting slogans while police tried to control the situation. Several people sustained minor injuries in the melee.

The clash follows the arrest of a man in Darbhanga who was accused of using derogatory language against the Prime Minister and his mother during the Yatra. Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered and further investigations are underway.

Political leaders escalated the war of words after the violence. BJP MLA Nitin Nabin condemned the incident, saying the people of Bihar would not tolerate such insults. Congress workers, however, accused the BJP of using the controversy to divert attention from governance issues.

The incident has added fuel to the already heated political atmosphere in Bihar.
