The Bihar BJP 2025 candidate list shows major changes this election. The party dropped 21 sitting MLAs from the race. Of them, 17 lost their tickets, and four seats went to NDA allies. The BJP will contest 101 assembly seats in total. It partners with JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), Hindustan Awam Morcha, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha in Bihar.
Senior leaders like Motilal Prasad, Mithilesh Kumar, Ram Surat Rai, Nikki Hembrom, and Rashmi Verma did not get tickets. The Kahalgaon and Barauli seats went to JDU, while Govindganj and Paru went to LJP and RLM.
The BJP focused on caste balance in its list. It fielded 49 upper-caste, 40 backward and most-backward, and 12 Dalit candidates. However, the list includes no Muslim candidates. This time, the BJP gave tickets to 21 Rajputs, 16 Bhumihars, 11 Brahmins, 13 Vaishyas, and only 6 Yadavs, down from 15 in 2020.
