BJP West Bengal Appoints New State Office Bearers

BJP West Bengal Appoints new leadership with the announcement of its state office bearers on Wednesday. The party named Samik Bhattacharya as the new State President with immediate effect. The appointments received approval from BJP National President JP Nadda.

The party also announced an extensive team to strengthen organisational structure ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. Senior leaders Sanjay Singh, Raju Banerjee, Debasree Chaudhuri, Agnimitra Paul, Dipak Barman, Jagannath Chattopadhyay, Manoj Tigga, Nisith Pramanik, Tapas Roy, Amitava Roy, Tanuja Chakraborty, and Prabal Raha were appointed as Vice Presidents.

Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato, Locket Chatterjee, Soumitra Khan, Bapi Goswami, and Shashi Agnihotri will serve as General Secretaries. The party also named twelve Secretaries to manage organisational and outreach responsibilities across the state.

Ashish Bapat was appointed Treasurer, while Praveen Agarwal and Vidyasagar Mantri took charge as Joint Treasurers. Pranoy Roy became Office Secretary, supported by Joint Office Secretary Pratyush Mandal.

The announcement follows a high-level meeting in New Delhi to review election preparedness. BJP leaders discussed women mobilisation, grassroots outreach, and state-specific strategies. With West Bengal heading to polls in 2026, the party aims to expand its footprint and challenge the ruling establishment.
