The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up efforts to remove the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal.
The party has begun intensive groundwork to strengthen its organisation across the state.
BJP plans to contest the 2026 Assembly elections on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and governance record.
Party sources say Modi may hold two rallies on the 18th and 19th of this month.
Malda and Howrah remain the likely venues.
West Bengal currently has around 82,000 polling booths.
BJP has built an organisational presence in nearly 71,000 booths.
After voter list revisions, booth numbers may rise to 93,000.
The party will realign its strategy based on the new booth structure.
It will limit efforts in areas with a very high concentration of Muslim voters.
BJP will also reconnect with long-time workers affected by political violence.
Amit Shah recently said over 300 party workers faced violence in the past decade.
Senior leaders will visit their families.
The party has decided against fielding film and television stars widely.
It will also avoid inducting tainted leaders from rival parties.
BJP wants a positive campaign focused on development.
The core message will centre on “Sonar Bangla.”
The party will also reach out to migrant communities and youth groups statewide.
