Police say the woman’s husband, Meghnath Shah, was drinking with his friends. A heated argument broke out among them. The bloody fight in Patna drinking party escalated quickly, and the husband’s friends attacked his wife, Priyanka Kumari. She was hit with a brick and died on the spot.
Priyanka, 25, originally from Samastipur, had lived in Patna with her husband and their seven-year-old child for the past seven years. Her husband was present when the fight began, but the attackers fled before police arrived.
A search is underway to locate the absconding accused. Police are collecting evidence and questioning locals to understand what triggered the deadly argument.
