Body Builder Sukhvir Singh, a well-known fitness athlete from Punjab, died after collapsing during a weightlifting competition in Ludhiana. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday and has shocked the bodybuilding community across the state.

Sukhvir Singh was 28 years old and originally hailed from Balachaur. He lived in Ludhiana, where he also ran a gym. According to available details, Singh participated in a lifting competition and delivered a strong performance. He successfully completed a 150-kilogram bench press and later won the deadlift category by lifting nearly 300 kilograms.

Soon after finishing his final lift, Singh complained of sharp chest pain. He walked towards his car to rest but collapsed before he could recover. Friends and fellow participants immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital.

Doctors examined him on arrival and declared him dead. Preliminary information pointed to a sudden cardiac arrest as the cause of death. No prior medical issues were officially reported.

The incident has raised fresh concerns about intense training routines and extreme physical stress in competitive bodybuilding. Several trainers and athletes stressed the need for regular health check-ups. The sudden loss of a young athlete has left the local fitness community in deep mourning.
