YSRCP senior leader and MLC Botsa Satyanarayana has extended ₹5 lakh financial assistance each to the families of two tribal students, Kalpana and Anjali, who died due to a hepatitis outbreak in Kurupam. Botsa said the aid was given on behalf of former CM and YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who personally showed compassion toward the victims’ families.

Questioning the government’s inaction, Botsa asked, “How can they politicize even Jagan’s hospital visit to console the sick students?” He condemned the coalition government for blaming contaminated water instead of accepting responsibility, calling it a “shameful excuse.”

He criticized Education Minister Nara Lokesh and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for remaining silent, urging immediate health screening of all hostel students. Botsa said no government in history has shown such irresponsibility toward public health and reminded that Jagan established medical colleges in every district to ensure healthcare for the poor.
