The BPSC exam paper leak case has taken a shocking turn after the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) arrested Chandan Kumar in Patna. With this arrest, the BPSC exam paper leak story has once again raised serious questions about the safety of competitive examinations in Bihar.
On Monday, the Economic Offences Unit arrested Chandan Kumar from the Agamkuan area of Patna. People also know him as Chandan Goyal or Chandan Sir. He worked closely with Sanjeev Mukhiya, a key name in several exam fraud cases.
Chandan comes from Budhauli village in Sheikhpura district. After the arrest, officials produced him in court and sent him to Beur jail. According to investigators, he actively searched for candidates in Patna to arrange exam fixing.
Moreover, police records show his name in multiple cases. Journalist Nagar police station booked him in two cases, while the EOU registered another case related to exam manipulation. All investigations are now moving forward together.
Earlier, in 2017, Kankarbagh police had arrested Chandan for his role in the TET exam scam. Later, he helped candidates appear in LDC and MTS exams along with Sanjeev Mukhiya.
In addition, he played a role in the 2017 NEET exam case. Police registered an FIR at Patrakar Nagar station. He also leaked the 2024 BPSC TRE-3 exam paper, which forced authorities to cancel the exam.
During questioning, Chandan revealed details about a large network. Therefore, the EOU has stepped up action to stop future exam fraud.
