The BRABU experience certificate scam has surfaced at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur, raising serious questions about faculty recruitment. The BRABU experience certificate scam came to light during a review of assistant professor appointments made in recent years.
During the investigation, officials found that a professor from a BRABU-affiliated college received teaching experience certificates from two different departments of the same college. Shockingly, the certificates showed experience in separate subjects during the same period, which is against university rules.
University sources said colleges issued several experience certificates without proper checks. These documents helped candidates gain extra marks during the selection process by the Bihar State University Service Commission. As a result, some candidates secured assistant professor posts unfairly.
The university administration has taken the issue seriously. The registrar confirmed that strict action will follow if wrongdoing is proven. Colleges involved in issuing questionable certificates have been asked to submit written explanations.
A special committee has started re-verifying documents of selected assistant professors. The process will continue for several days and cover multiple subjects. University officials said the goal is to ensure transparency and protect the credibility of higher education in Bihar.
