The Union Cabinet has approved three major multi-tracking railway projects to improve connectivity and increase the capacity of India’s railway network. The projects include constructing third and fourth railway lines between Kasara-Manmad, Delhi-Ambala, and Ballari-Hosapete.

Officials said these projects aim to reduce congestion on busy routes and allow more trains to operate smoothly, benefiting both passengers and freight transport. Multi-tracking will help in faster movement of goods, improve punctuality, and support economic growth by connecting key industrial and trade regions.

The Kasara-Manmad line is an important route in Maharashtra, while Delhi-Ambala serves as a crucial corridor in northern India. The Ballari-Hosapete project will strengthen railway infrastructure in Karnataka and help boost trade and tourism in the region.

The projects are part of the government’s larger plan to modernize railways, increase efficiency, and expand infrastructure to meet the growing demand for transportation across the country.
