Case Filed Against BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy

Hyderabad police filed a case against BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy for violating election rules during Jubilee Hills bypoll.

A case has been registered against BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy at the Madhura Nagar Police Station. The incident took place during the Jubilee Hills by-election polling held on Tuesday, November 11. Voting was conducted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. without major disruptions until reports of a commotion surfaced.

According to police officials, Kaushik Reddy allegedly violated election rules by entering polling areas and creating disturbance near Yusufguda polling centers. He, along with his supporters, reportedly entered the Mahmood Function Hall, which was part of a polling zone, without authorization.

Police claimed that the MLA ignored security protocols and pushed through officers stationed at the venue. His actions allegedly triggered tension among voters and disrupted polling activities temporarily.

Following the incident, police booked Kaushik Reddy under sections related to trespassing and public nuisance. Authorities stated that the case will be investigated further to determine if more charges are applicable. Election officials emphasized that all candidates and leaders must adhere to the Model Code of Conduct during elections.
