A case has been registered against Hyderabad Youth Congress (HYC) candidate Salman Khan, who is contesting in the Jubilee Hills by-election, for allegedly making communal remarks and sharing inflammatory social media posts.
According to Borabanda Police, the case was filed following a complaint by election surveillance officials, who reported that his comments and online content could disturb communal harmony. Police confirmed that multiple sections of the IPC and Representation of People Act have been invoked against him.
Authorities stated that the posts in question were found to be provocative and potentially disruptive, violating the Model Code of Conduct currently in force for the by-election. The police are investigating the matter and have warned that strict action will be taken if the allegations are proven true.
