The team of Peddi has requested fans not to believe rumours about the film’s runtime. Publicist Vamsi Sekhar stated that only the first half has been locked. The re-recording is nearing completion by A. R. Rahman. The second half is in its final shooting stage. Editing is progressing simultaneously at a fast pace. The team confirmed that everything is on track for the grand release on April 30, 2026.

Earlier, the makers released “Rai Rai Raa Raa,” the intro song of Ram Charan. The energetic track has been composed and sung by Rahman. The song delivers pulsating beats and a strong mass appeal. Ram Charan’s performance adds power and style to the visuals.

The choreography has been handled by Jani Master. Lyrics were written by Anantha Sriram. Production design by Avinash Kolla and cinematography by R. Rathnavelu enhance the grandeur of the song.

The film is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers. Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani play key roles. Editing is handled by Navin Nooli.

HC questions DGCA over indefinite relaxation of pilots’ weekly rest and leave rules

Why indefinite relaxation of norm on weekly rest, leaves for pilots, the Delhi High Court asked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday. The court questioned why key safety-related norms were relaxed without fixing any time limit.

The court referred to an earlier instance where the DGCA granted IndiGo a temporary relaxation in night duty norms with a clear deadline. It asked why the rule on non-substitution of weekly rest and mandatory leaves for pilots was withdrawn indefinitely.

The bench said aviation safety depends heavily on adequate rest for pilots. It noted that fatigue can affect alertness and decision-making, which could pose serious risks.

The DGCA told the court that the relaxation was introduced to manage operational challenges faced by airlines. The regulator said it continues to monitor safety standards and compliance.

The court, however, stressed that any relaxation affecting safety must be time-bound and justified. It asked the DGCA to explain the rationale behind allowing an open-ended exemption.

The matter arose during a hearing on petitions raising concerns over pilot fatigue and work conditions. The court said regulatory decisions must strike a balance between operational needs and passenger safety.

The High Court said it would examine the issue further after receiving a detailed response from the DGCA.

Mumbai Metro authorities warned Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan for performing pull-ups inside a metro coach. The stunt came after the success of his film Border 2.

The Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) posted on X, calling the act “punishable under sections relating to causing nuisance and/or damage to property” in the Metro Railways (Operations and Maintenance) Act, 2002.

“This video should have come with a disclaimer, Varun Dhawan—Do Not Try This on Maha Mumbai Metro,” the post said. Authorities added, “Grab handles are not for hanging. Acts like these can attract penalties or imprisonment. Travel responsibly.”

Varun Dhawan recently thanked fans for their response to Border 2, which released on January 23. He shared pictures on Instagram with co-stars Ahan Shetty and Sunny Deol, capturing moments with fans flashing lights from their phones.

Under the Lal Chand Kataruchak Regularizes initiative, the Punjab Forests and Wildlife Preservation Department has regularized the services of more than 1,000 employees in the last seven months. Forest Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said the government has also sent a proposal to regularize another 519 senior workers.

The department moved the proposal to the Finance Department, Personnel Department, and the Legal Remembrancer for approval. These workers qualify under the 2023 regularization policy, as they have completed over 10 years of service despite not meeting age or educational criteria.

Speaking at a meeting with the Janglat Workers Union at the Forest Complex, the Minister said employee welfare remains a top priority. He added that the government follows the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure job security for long-serving workers.

Responding to concerns about delayed salaries, senior officers informed the Minister that they had updated IHRMS IDs for workers who received appointment letters on July 30 last year. The Minister directed officials to release salaries without delay to prevent financial hardship.

The Lal Chand Kataruchak Regularizes decision reflects the government’s commitment to its workforce. The Minister also assured the union that the department would continue to protect workers’ interests through prompt action and dialogue.

Mastiii 4 released in theaters on November 21, 2025. The makers planned to release it on OTT platforms on January 16, 2026. During the hearing, Justice Tushar Rao Gedela noted that the film producers should respond before the court issues any interim orders. Consequently, the court issued notices to the makers and scheduled the next hearing for January 13, 2026.
