Vijendra Yadav slams Tejashwi over Lalu school remark on Samrat Choudhary and said the opposition leader should remember political history before making such statements.

Tejashwi had earlier congratulated Samrat Choudhary but also mocked him, saying he had learned politics in the “school” of Lalu Prasad Yadav. He also called him a “selected Chief Minister” and claimed he fulfilled his promise to remove Nitish Kumar from power.

Reacting to the remark, Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said Tejashwi should not forget that Lalu himself emerged from the Janata Dal. He added that if leaders start discussing political origins, the debate will go much further.

Yadav also spoke about the absence of Nishant Kumar at the oath ceremony. He said entering politics would be Nishant’s personal decision and no one can force him to join public life.

RJD leader Rohini Acharya launched a sharp political attack after Nitish Kumar’s resignation and the formation of a new government in Bihar. Rohini Acharya attacks Nitish Kumar by claiming that his pictures disappeared from government posters within just 24 hours of stepping down.

She shared a government advertisement poster on social media and called the situation a “serious insult.” According to her, the quick removal of Nitish Kumar’s image shows that the new political arrangement has already started sidelining him.

Continuing her criticism, Rohini said that before the resignation, allies feared Nitish Kumar might change his stance, so they praised his leadership. But after he stepped down, they quickly removed his image from posters and advertisements.

She also described the situation as a “Catch-22,” suggesting Nitish Kumar now faces a difficult political position where he may lose both power and respect.

The remarks have intensified political debate in Bihar as the new government begins its tenure.

The Samrat Choudhary BJP journey shows how quickly a leader can rise in politics with strong strategy and support. In just eight years, he moved from joining the Bharatiya Janata Party to becoming the Chief Minister of Bihar. The Samrat Choudhary BJP journey has become a major talking point in the state’s political circles.

Samrat Choudhary started his political career in the 1990s and worked with several parties, including Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal (United). He served as a minister and later as an MLA from Parbatta. In 2017, he joined the BJP after leaving regional parties and soon became one of the party’s key OBC leaders.

The BJP leadership trusted him with important responsibilities. He served as Bihar BJP president and later became Deputy Chief Minister in the Nitish Kumar government. His strong organisational skills and political influence helped him gain the party’s confidence.

In April 2026, Samrat Choudhary took oath as Bihar’s Chief Minister, becoming the first BJP leader to hold the top post in the state.

A fake marriage bureau gang was exposed after police conducted a raid near Polytechnic Dhala in Saharsa. The fake marriage bureau gang had been cheating unmarried men by promising marriage and collecting money through fake profiles on social media.

Police from the cyber cell raided an office that was running like a call center under the name “Marriage Line Dot Com.” The gang allegedly created fake accounts of women on platforms like Facebook and Instagram to trap victims. After someone showed interest, members demanded an initial registration fee of about ₹1,500.

During the raid, police detained three women who were working at the office. Investigators said the main accused, Ranjan Kumar from Supaul district, ran the operation from a rented house in Saharsa. He reportedly hired women to talk to victims and convince them to transfer money.

Police registered an FIR against 11 people in connection with the fraud. The main accused is currently absconding, and teams are conducting raids to arrest him. Officials are also checking bank accounts and call records to identify more victims.
