Delhi Court Orders Preservation of CCTV Footage in Dhaula Kuan BMW Crash Case

Delhi court orders CCTV footage preservation in the BMW crash case. Gaganpreet Kaur's bail plea is under consideration.

Delhi’s Patiala House Court issued a notice to preserve CCTV footage from the recent BMW crash. The court will hear the matter on Thursday.

The accident, which occurred on September 14 in Dhaula Kuan, resulted in the death of Navjot Singh, a senior finance ministry official. His wife, Sandeep Kaur, suffered severe injuries. Gaganpreet Kaur, the accused driver, allegedly hit the motorcycle carrying the couple near the Delhi Cantonment metro station.

Gaganpreet Kaur’s counsel requested the court to preserve the CCTV footage from the scene. The court scheduled a hearing for Thursday to review the request. The accused’s bail plea is also under consideration. Senior advocate Ramesh Gupta is representing her.

Delhi Police also questioned Gaganpreet Kaur’s husband, Parikshit Kakkar. He joined the investigation and told police he was unaware of the accident’s details. He said Gaganpreet had told him she was taking the victims to the hospital. Investigators are verifying his statement with other evidence.

Gaganpreet’s decision to take the victims to a distant hospital instead of a nearby one has raised questions about her actions. Police are continuing their investigation.
