Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan said that Bihar NDA seat-sharing talks are still ongoing. He mentioned that he has several responsibilities as a Union Minister and will focus on his ministry duties for now. “As long as I’m a minister, I’m responsible for the ministry, so I’ll look after that,” he said.
Amid political discussions in Patna, the LJP (Ram Vilas) held an emergency meeting led by Arun Bharti, with MPs Raju Tiwari, Shambhavi Chaudhary, and Hulas Pandey attending. The party is reportedly demanding 45 seats in the NDA alliance, increasing from its earlier demand of 20–22 seats.
In the 2020 assembly elections, Chirag Paswan contested separately from the NDA, which hurt the JD(U)’s performance. The JD(U) won only 43 seats, its lowest tally in two decades. Meanwhile, HAM chief Jitan Ram Manjhi has requested 15 seats, emphasizing it as a “request, not a claim.”
