The CID raids Inspector Madhav Thakur case has created major attention in Bihar. On Friday, a team from the Vigilance Investigation Bureau carried out CID raids on Inspector Madhav Thakur at his Patna and Begusarai residences. These raids were part of a disproportionate assets investigation.
Officers checked his houses throughout the day and found several financial documents. The team recovered 12 bank accounts, six land-related papers, and investment documents linked to insurance companies. All materials were seized for further examination.
According to officials, the case against Madhav Thakur was registered on November 26, 2025. He is accused of collecting assets worth ₹25,22,145, which is nearly 47% more than his known income. The Vigilance Bureau stated that analysis of the seized documents is continuing, and the investigation is active.
On the same day, the bureau arrested Dilip Kumar Sinha, a revenue employee in Siwan, for taking a bribe of ₹15,000. He was caught red-handed inside an illegal office running in a rented building. A local resident had filed a complaint stating that Sinha demanded money for land survey and mutation.
After his arrest, Sinha was questioned and will be presented before the Special Vigilance Court in Muzaffarpur.
