The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Andhra Pradesh has expressed its expectations ahead of the Union Budget 2026–27. One of the main requests is a special financial package for Amaravati, the state capital. CII believes this will help boost development and attract investment to the city.
The industry body also expects the government to approve the revised cost for the Polavaram irrigation project, which is important for water supply and agriculture in the region. Another request is the creation of a special fund for backward districts to promote development and reduce regional inequality.
CII has also urged the government to provide strong support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which play a key role in generating jobs and promoting economic growth in Andhra Pradesh.
Overall, CII hopes the Union Budget will focus on infrastructure, industry growth, and social development, helping the state’s economy and creating opportunities for businesses and people.
