CM Bhupendra Patel Surveys Gujarat Villages Hit by Unseasonal Rains, Reviews Crop Losses
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited several villages affected by unseasonal rains that began in the last week of October, assessing the damage to crops and agricultural infrastructure. The rains have caused significant losses in districts including Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, and Bhavnagar, affecting paddy, wheat, and horticultural crops.
During his visit, CM Patel interacted with farmers to understand their concerns and assured swift government assistance. State authorities have initiated survey operations to evaluate the extent of crop damage and calculate compensation under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and state relief schemes.
Officials highlighted that early assessment and timely support are critical to helping farmers recover and mitigate long-term economic losses. Patel emphasized coordination among revenue, agriculture, and local administration teams to expedite relief measures and provide necessary inputs for replanting and recovery.
