Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said Andhra Pradesh has no shortage of skilled talent. He laid the foundation stone for the new Cognizant office in Visakhapatnam. During the ceremony, he stated that the project will create nearly 25,000 jobs. Moreover, he predicted that Visakhapatnam will soon emerge as a major knowledge and technology hub.
Chandrababu recalled that India once lacked global recognition, but Andhra Pradesh gained a strong advantage by embracing IT early. He expressed hope that the new Cognizant campus will grow into the company’s largest centre in the country. He also highlighted the city’s natural beauty and said Visakhapatnam has unmatched potential for technology-driven growth.
The Chief Minister added that his projects always operate on a mega scale. He requested the Cognizant CEO to shift the company’s headquarters to Visakhapatnam and expressed confidence that this move may soon become possible. Furthermore, he mentioned that Indians lead many of the world’s top ten companies, which reflects the strength of local talent.
Chandrababu also assured that the government will provide real-time clearances for companies. He said this fast approval system will attract global investors and accelerate Visakhapatnam’s development as a major innovation centre.
