Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked officials to treat Deeksha devotees at Srisailam with dignity and respect. He warned that there should be zero tolerance for any mistakes in managing the large number of pilgrims visiting the temple.
As the rush of devotees is expected to increase ahead of Mahasivaratri, the Chief Minister directed officials to make proper daily plans for crowd control. He asked them to improve security, drinking water supply, medical facilities, sanitation and accommodation for pilgrims. He also told police and temple authorities to work together and avoid any incidents that could hurt devotees.
Naidu said that devotees come with strong faith, and the government has a responsibility to ensure their safety and comfort. He instructed officials to closely monitor the situation and take quick action if any problem arises. The government aims to provide a smooth and peaceful darshan experience for all pilgrims visiting Srisailam.
