CM Naidu Warns Against Crime and Character Assassination in Politics

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday issued a stern warning against crimes committed under the guise of politics, stating that the government would not tolerate such acts. Speaking in Tirupati, Naidu emphasised that political rivalry should not translate into illegal or unethical activities, including violence, intimidation, or harassment of opponents.
He also condemned the rising trend of character assassination through abusive posts on social media, urging political parties and leaders to uphold decency and decorum in public discourse. The Chief Minister highlighted that politics should focus on constructive debate, policy discussions, and service to the public, rather than personal attacks and spreading misinformation.
Naidu called upon all parties to adhere to the principles of a democratic system, maintain civility, and engage in issue-based politics. He reaffirmed that the government would take strict action against individuals or groups involved in criminal or abusive behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful political environment in the State.
