CM Nitish Kumar to Begin ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ from January 16 to Review Government Schemes

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will undertake a statewide outreach programme titled ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ from January 16 to assess the implementation of various government schemes at the grassroots level. The yatra is aimed at reviewing development works, interacting with beneficiaries, and identifying gaps in the delivery of welfare programmes across the State.
During the tour, the Chief Minister is expected to visit districts, hold review meetings with officials, and interact directly with the public to understand their concerns and feedback. The exercise will focus on key sectors such as education, health, rural development, infrastructure, and social welfare schemes.
Sources said the Cabinet Secretariat will release the detailed schedule of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ within a day or two. Officials noted that the initiative reflects the government’s emphasis on monitoring governance outcomes and ensuring effective implementation of policies. The yatra is also expected to help fine-tune ongoing schemes and strengthen coordination between the administration and local communities.
