Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra” in Bihar. The march began in Darbhanga and will move to Full Faraz. Its aim is to highlight voter rights and build direct contact with the people.
Rahul Gandhi is leading the yatra with AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Telangana ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, and Vakati Sridhari are also part of the team. Leaders will meet citizens along the route and explain Congress plans for development and welfare if elected.
Before leaving for Bihar, Revanth and Bhatti Vikramarka met senior lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi in Delhi. They discussed the High Court order that directed the government to complete Telangana’s local body elections by September 30.
Key issues included the demand for 42% BC reservation in local polls and the disqualification of defected MLAs. Congress leaders said they are preparing both legal and political strategies to face these challenges before the upcoming elections.
