Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has suggested exploring a new bullet train corridor from Shamshabad to Chennai , enhancing high-speed rail connectivity in the southern region. During a review meeting with officials, he discussed pending railway projects and emphasized the need to fast-track their execution.
The CM directed authorities to link the proposed railway line with the Glisfield Highway project, which runs from the planned Future City to Amaravati and Bandar Port. This integration, he said, would boost regional connectivity, trade, and economic growth.
Revanth also instructed officials to prioritize the Vikarabad–Krishna new railway line, urging that work begin as soon as possible. He highlighted that improved railway infrastructure, including the bullet train project, would play a crucial role in transforming Telangana into a hub for investment and development, while also providing faster travel options for citizens in the state and beyond.
