Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, seeking the transfer of 98.20 acres of Defence Ministry land for the proposed Gandhi Sarovar Project. During the meeting, Revanth explained that the project would serve as a symbol of national integration and Gandhian values, strengthening Telangana’s cultural and social fabric.
He also highlighted the government’s plans to construct the Gandhi Circle of Unity near the confluence of the Musi and Esa rivers, making the project a landmark of peace and unity. The initiative, he said, would not only honor Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals but also stand as a reminder of collective harmony for future generations.
According to sources, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh responded positively to the request, indicating possible cooperation. The state government views the project as a prestigious development, combining historical significance with a vision of unity and progress.
