CM Revanth to Lay Foundation for Akshaya Patra Mega Kitchen in Kodangal
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation for a mega kitchen of the Akshaya Patra Foundation in Kodangal, spread over 2 acres, aimed at expanding the organisation’s mid-day meal program in the region.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation has been running the breakfast scheme in Kodangal since December, currently serving over 28,000 students across 312 schools. The new facility is expected to increase production capacity, improve efficiency, and reach more children in rural and semi-urban areas.
CM Revanth emphasized the government’s commitment to improving nutrition and education outcomes through such initiatives. The mega kitchen will feature modern cooking and distribution infrastructure, ensuring hygienic, timely meals. Officials noted that this expansion reflects the state’s focus on child welfare and aims to support broader educational and health goals across Telangana.
