CM Stalin Raises Pending Issues as PM Modi Visits Tamil Nadu
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tamil Nadu on Friday, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin reminded him about several pending approvals and funds owed to the State by the Union government. Stalin said Tamil Nadu has been waiting for clearance of important projects and release of central funds related to education, infrastructure, and welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to ensure fair treatment to Tamil Nadu and to clear the long-pending demands without delay. He said cooperation between the Centre and the State is necessary for development and public welfare.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi, in a post on social media, said he would attend an NDA rally in Madhuranthakam later in the day. In his message, he strongly criticised the ruling DMK government, accusing it of corruption and saying the people of Tamil Nadu were ready for change.
The visit has added political significance ahead of upcoming elections in the State.
