Fuel companies have increased CNG prices by Rs 2 per kg across several cities. The latest CNG price hike came into effect on Tuesday. This is the fourth increase in less than two weeks.
The new CNG price in Delhi now stands at Rs 83.09 per kg. Fuel retailers said rising global energy costs and crude oil prices pushed them to revise the rates again. The CNG price hike has also affected nearby regions such as Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad.
Consumers and transport operators have expressed concern over the frequent increase in fuel costs. Auto unions are also demanding fare revisions as operating expenses continue to rise.
Petrol and diesel prices also went up recently. Experts say the repeated hikes may increase transportation costs and inflation in the coming weeks.
